A client found themselves dealing with a gas leak, forcing them to temporarily remove their fireplace to fix the problem. When the leak issue was sorted, another task of reinstalling the fireplace and retiling the surround was undertaken by our experienced handymen. Fix It Pros began with ensuring proper positioning of the gas and electrical lines so there were no accidental pinches behind the fireplace. We then put on a new backing and reinstalled the fireplace and flue. A cement board was added to the surround for extra stability. For the tile work, we used black tile for the edge framing and skillfully cut the customer’s own ceramic tiles using a wet saw. We installed these tiles in the fireplace vicinity and cemented them in place with grout, finishing the project with some paint touch-ups.
